Corey Ziems 2007 - Somewhere South. Traveling to any spot you cannot consider your local always arrive as if you didn't exist. All images by Kelly Cestari
Craig Johnson 2005 - Bluff. When I first started shooting water people thought dubious of me but there were a few always willing to go on a mission
Neil Millar 2005 – Bluff. Neil was one of the first guys always willing to go on a shoot mission and at times forcing me to shoot
Shaun Thornton 2008 Flash Caddy – Bluff. I met Shaun of all places on a snow capped mountain in the USA where we worked as lifties, turns out he lived on the Bluff and keen in surf photography.
Rudy Palmboom Jnr 2008 – Bluff. This was my first and only flash session to date, there were major trial and error issues
Brandon Roberts 2008 – Bluff. If the flash was not working I was cutting heads off, the only decent shot ruined by decapitation
Rudy Palmboom 2008 – Bluff. Once you figure out how to work with remote water flash it’s all fun. Come back Thornie I need a flash caddy
Nikita Robb 2007 – Warners. Nikita lives in East London but ventures to the warmer waters now and then
Davey VanZyl 2007 – Warners. Setup with a camera on the beach and the groms are on it like glitter to hair
Shawn Dennis 2008 – Margate. One of the many sessions with Shawn where it didn’t quite click, pun intended
Gavin Roberts 2008 – Margate. It’s not often I shoot Gav on his backhand but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s not deadly
Richie Sills 2005 – South Coast. This session was one of those nightmares saved be one decent shot, the rip was heavy my fins were giving me blisters but it was worthwhile in the end.
Frankie Oberholzer 2008. One of the not so good photos from the dream session. I really need to start working with Frankie more often
Antonio Bortoletto 2008. The dream session started off with fisheye but finding myself out of position because of the draining tide I went and changed for the long lens
Shawn Dennis 2008. This is the beginning of the sequence on the wave Shawn and I finally got the ad shot we were looking for
Matt Pallet 2008. Matt has a habit of calling me to go shoot 2ft onshore mush. With photos like this going no where he wonders why I flat out say no
