Travis Logie, tight and compact as ever.

The three Bs - Bikinis, Bums & Barrels.

Gabriel Medina has a solid backhand too.

The man who invents night vision contact lenses will be forever welcome on the North Shore.

Love em or hate em, Sunsets are a amazing, why would you ever hate em.

Damien Fahrenfort joined the island to get a few waves while topping up his tan.

Shaun laying it on the rail with a touch of old school flare.

Travis is stepping up his air game.

Rudy Twinkle Toes Palmboom.

Shaun taking a break from burying the nose to bury himself in a tube.

The air to bum ratio is evenly balanced when the hotshots are in town.

South Africans in Hawaii. |
| 07/12/2012 |

Small waves mean you relax a little, putting your feet up means different things for different folks.

Travis Logie achieved an equal 25th in the VANS World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach.

Nursing an injured heel Jordy Smith still placed equal 9th at Sunset.

Shying away from the contests Rudy Palmboom has been doing his freesurf thing, this day at Ehukai Beach Park.

Travis Logie at Ehukai Beach Park.

Shaun Joubert has been trying this nose stabbing tail pops quite a bit, here at Rocky Lefts.

Another angle of Shauns efforts at Rocky Lefts.

Travis Logie being a goofy sticks to the lefts at Rockies.

Rocky Lefts again with Travis.

Ehukai Beach Park is the go to place on small days, Travis putting the breaks on.

Surfers tend to surf their local more than other spots, Rudy Palmboom out at Log Cabins.

Rudy milking Logs for the last ounce of light available.

Twiggy representing South Africa at The Eddie. Chris Bertish is an alternate.

Something trippy was going on in the clouds this particular evening, it wasn't a rainbow and a wasn't a UFO. |

| 04/12/2012 |

RIP Taryn Pratt ( nee Warner).
Taryn passed away this morning after a long, brave battle with cancer.
She truly was a special person.
A wonderful wife, mother and daughter and a trusted friend she was always positive, inspirational, loving, supportive and happy.
Taryn was someone who lived life to the full.
Our condolences and thoughts are with Shane and their children and with Greg and Debbie, her mom and dad.
She will be missed. |

Week 5 on The Rock. |
| 01/12/2012 |

Hawaii, Liquid Gold, sun up and sun down.

The last frame sneaky peak is always entertaining with a glimpse of the island, a hint of the sun and some one getting slotted.

Helmets are important, fins n rails all things that will put a dent in your head.

After a few days of no waves you always stay out for the last fragment of light when they do appear.

Perry Dane, do not drop in on this man, do not drop in on anyone.

Dane Gudauskas, a friendly man.

Tanner Gudauskas grab railing the sloppy-day-go-to-board.

Coco Ho making the most of what swell was on offer.

For every back flip Gabriel Medina lands there are 100 failed or oh so close attempts.

Flynn Novak couldn't have been too angry about the drop-in.

Last year Novak landed his Flintstone-Flip, this year has been a bit toned down at his beloved Rocky Lefts.

Jordy has arrived.

Believe it or not, Turtles seek refuge in the Waimea rocks ... when it's flat.

Flat days are good to practice your breath hold.

The bottom contours that shape Waimea when it breaks.

Small days are still fun days in Hawaii.
