Hi Grace and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?

When I think of surfing the first thing that pops into my my mind is a hot sunny day, perfect 3foot waves rolling in and cool crystal clear water... sigghhhh... with a cocktail shack on the beach serving yummy food!

Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?

I think girls should be aware of their body types and should wear swimwear that flatters their figure, if you have confidence you can make almost anything work. Gym works great for all swimwear!

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?

Definately above the knee if you have a sexy pair of legs (but not too high above the knee), over the knee boardshorts make guys look out of proportion and stumpy.....

If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?

I’ve been surfing since I was 13, i’m always greedy for more boards sooo as long as Spider Murphey is making them, I guess I’d take ALL of them! On the topic of new boards – HEY SPIDER!! I need a new board, hows about you hook me up?


Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?

Jack Johnson or Buddha Bar to start the party, then after a bottle of tequila or two (goodness i sound so hardcore! Haha actually probably one or two tequila’s for me, don’t judge me, cheap date, cough cough!) bring on Swedish House Mafia or David Guetta... no wait Red Hot Chilli Peppers... hmmm....

Skinny-dipping, yes or no?

Maybe Depends on whose looking........



If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?

A Great White Shark, I am fascinated by them, and I know I’d be rolling like a boss!

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?

Save Vetche’s Reef! Don’t eat fish on the endangered list!
