Smouldering, seductive and sexy as hell. |

Hi Christine Green and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?
Sun, salty hair and water
Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?
Bright colours are always great and i love a brazailian cut. There's nothing worse than a see through bikini.

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?
Above but not too short.
If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?
Fun sized modern high performance short board.

Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?
Two things I love are live and local so i would be shaking my hips to Goodluck and Farryl Purkiss. There's no such thing as party i'm at without Tequila.
Skinny-dipping, yes or no?
Hell yeah!

If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?
A Manta ray, they are so majestic.

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?
Well supported beach clean ups are the way to go. They make a big difference to your local beach and you get to catch up with friends.
Thank you Christine we look forward to seeing you on the beach soon or maybe riding (your chosen surfboard) at a surf break nearby soon. For being so cool we’re stoked to offer you a free surfing lesson from Learn 2 Surf (just call Ant on 083 4140567 or check out www.learn2surf.co.za) and hope to see you out there helping to make our lineups more beautiful than they already are.
Thank you, with summer on its way you can count on it.

Hi Nicky and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?
Joe Turpel calling big set on the outside.
Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?
If I’m comfortable I’m happy, nothing too skimpy, not a big fan of one pieces. I like colorful bikinis, it’s summer, lets have some fun.

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?
Above.
If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?
Old school, long board, no doubt!
Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?
It would start off with some indie/ old school stuff (Black Keys, The Stones, Rodriguez) and then it would turn into a complete trance blow out. A lot of tequila, red wine and some rad mates…sorted ☺

Skinny-dipping, yes or no?
Depends on the situation, but yes.
If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?
Turtles, they are the iri-est creatures

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?
No nukes!!

Hi (Kate Schoombee) and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?
WHOOOHOOO!! Big smiles ☺
Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?
Any swimwear looks good when you know what works for your body shape and worn with confidence, there’s nothing worse than seeing a girl prancing around adjusting her bits every 2 minutes. Dax Martin has some amazing bikinis for tanning on the beach or pool parties but when it comes to surfing one the biggest oops I’ve ever made is wearing a ‘triangle’ bikini because they move without your permission… then your mind goes from catching waves to not flashing!!
Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?
Since Dogga introduced his line of retro boardies I must say I’m pretty neutral on the above or below the knee concept!

I surf purely for the fun and love of being in the water so I like a board that I can ride in any condition.. I’ve stayed pretty loyal to my 6’2 evo as I’ve had so many fun surfs on it but I know I need to progress a bit … Thinner rails and a bit more speed but without losing the stability – any suggestions?? I love a board with a some funky colours but its more about the ride then the look… so whatever.
Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?
Goldfish… need I say more?? ;)

Skinny-dipping, yes or no?
Let’s just say… never been done before.
If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?
Dolphins for me are just the epitome of freedom and fun in the ocean… they are the true surfers of the sea… to have them play in the surf with you or even just spotting a school of them in the distance is always the cherry on the top to good day out…
If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?
Educating the masses about the implications of littering and how it affects our oceans. Yes there have been heaps of beach “clean up” campaigns but it’s to target the city dwellers and non beach users to make them consciously aware that when they chuck their McDonalds packet out the window and onto the roads in town, that it could wind up in the sea and a turtle/seagull or any sea creature could swallow it and die!

Hi Megan and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?
Total relaxation and refreshment!!! A chance to break away from every day life ☺
Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?
I love bikinis that have cute boy-shorts that go with it rather than the usual bikini bottoms, they are too cute! The frillier the better! I would say stay away from costume tops that aren’t padded and rather see through as when they are wet, it can get quite embarrassing
Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?
Definitely above
If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?
A modern high performance short board!
Lets talk epic beach parties for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?
Definitely a protected and safe beach bonfire with someone stringing along on a guitar, and everyone just having a good time singing along to the acoustics of the guitar, big blankets, and roasted marshmallows.
Skinny-dipping, yes or no?
hells yeah!

If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?
A turtle. They just look like they have such an easy and carefree life swimming around in a super cool shell all day! Turtle babies are also too cute!
If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?
I'd say it would be to protect the beach from litter by dedicating beach clean drives more often. It is too sad to go for a walk along the beach and see the amount of rubbish just floating around in the water. I always pick it up and end up leaving the beach with enough rubbish to build a house with! It saddens me that so many people don’t do the same thing.
Thank you Megan we look forward to seeing you on the beach soon or maybe riding a high performance shortboard at a surf break nearby soon. Thank you so much, I’m looking forward to it! Catch you in the water.

Introducing Anna S, you want to go to her beach party. |

Hi Anna and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?
Kelly Slater.
Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?
In my opinion it is whatever makes a girl feel confident and sexy. I personally like to wear a strapless top (for tanning purposes) and comfy bottoms that don’t get “eaten” or are too skimpy that they come off when I get dunked! Bright colours, floral and patterns look great on tanned skin. Nice one pieces are hard to come by these days, I can never find one that is modern but still has that classic classy cut.
Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?
Haha either/or….. for shorter guys I think above the knee is more flattering.

If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?
A cruisy fun colourful old school longboard, definately!
Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?
All of the above, in succession! Awesome peeps, electric tunes, tropical wheather and unlimited booze ☺ Ultimate music would prob involve some deep house ( including the likes of the Skene brothers, Dale Sample, DJs from Love-Peace-Techno) which always promises for a groovy time!
Skinny-dipping, yes or no?
Situation permitting ☺
If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?
Well I have already had the honour of swimming with both a dolphin and sharks….soooo I’d have to say, a Seahorse!? Purely because I’ve never seen one in real life.

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?
I would help do beach/coastal cleans to reduce the amount of rubbish and plastics that find their way into the ocean, and are responsible for a decrease of biodiversity in the ocean. Birds and penguins are also hugely affected by this.
Thank you Anna we look forward to seeing you on the beach soon or maybe riding (your chosen surfboard) at a surf break nearby soon.
