Hi Karina Ferreira and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?

Beach & beautiful people!

Let’s talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?

I think the first thing to be considered is the woman’s body, it’s advantages & disadvantages & then selecting the right bikini for the body type.

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?

Above the knee

If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?

Would be an ancient Hawaiian handmade wooden Alaia for sure!

Lets talk epic beach party’s for a moment... A full moon rising over the sea, sundowners, a mellow jam session (who would be playing?), what would it take to escalate into the mother of all beach parties?

Would have to be with all my good friends….my favourite songs…and the endless beach…

Skinny-dipping, yes or no?

No.

If you had the opportunity to spend time in the ocean with any sea creature what would it be and why?

Would be a dolphin because I think they are the cutest sea creatures & I love them.

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?

Whatever I could to warn future generations of how important is it for us to preserve the natural beauty we have been given with the world’s beaches & marine life.

I recommend going tecikhr on the board. My bodyboard works the best and it has a 1" rail and is made from fir and the 6' board has a 3/4" rail and is new zealand pine. I think paulownia probably works the best, but I would say go with fir or cedar if you cannot get some paulownia. good luck send me a pic of your board if you make one! Cheers!

yup. the # of potentially sluafbre days this winter has been tiny. west coast having a great surf season. everything goes in cycles, but in general you'll get a lot more surfing in someplace else. that's a fact. on the flip side, you'll also be surfing with WAY more people in the water and fighting traffic/parking to get to the best spots. not to mention, paying a fortune to be able to live in most places in the US with great consistent surf. +/- everywhere. a few good local swells and all will be good.Like or Dislike: 1 0

Most of the time, a lapotp is a lapotp is a lapotp. However, the really inexpensive, high quality ones from the top manufacturers are that way only because the bells and whistles that you might want for the music/video/multimedia kind of work are not there. Corporations which are the target audeince for the business laps don't want or need those items and thus the prices are lower.

Cheers, Jim! I was going to dedicate the song to you, but I didn't think you'd want to be getitng dedications from hookers. Even if they're from Minneapolis. There's certainly nothing Christmassy about the song, but I guess Waits thought the title was catchier than Letter From a Hooker in Minneapolis. And maybe he thought he'd get a few plays this time of year. The write of the card claims she was living on 9th street right above a dirty bookstore off Euclid Avenue . You know if such a place ever existed?

The smaller the better, Brazilian bikinis are a must. Big ass granny bottoms should be avoided at all costs.

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?

I like below, and hanging low.

An ancient Hawaiian Alaia sounds cool, you gotta respect the craftsmanship of that bad boy.

A mellow jam session with Bon Iver and Lykke Li, then everyone wear neon glow paint, grab their boards and head out for a full moon surf!

In the right company, hell yeah!

Hello, Diana, beautiful ilsultration. is true. the atmosphere of the sea is very reassuring, even in winter, summer is good for outdoor fun, and in winter to read a book, watching a storm through a window, no? (Although I live in the mountains, haha, but I also like the sea)Thanks for your comment.kisses.

Hi Frederique and welcome to theBOMBshell interview. When you think of surfing what is the very first thought that pops into your mind?

Having fun in the water, with nothing on your mind, feeling totally free.

Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?

I go to the beach to relax or having fun with friends. Adapt your swimwear. What always works is a simple triangle bikini in a plain colour. Don't overdo, the 'less is more', if you know what I mean…

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?

I like old-school boardshorts.

If you are/were a surfer what surfboard would you/do you ride? An ancient Hawaiian hand made wooden Alaia, a cruisy fun colourful old school longboard or a modern high performance short board?

I think a turtle is much cooler than a duck, so guess yourself ;)

Some nice rock or reggae, people who are close to me, fire and red wine. Let the good times roll.

Off the sand: Make wise seafood choices. Don't underestimate the impact of your dish. It affects overfishing, pesticides and bad stuff that end up in rivers and oceans. In the sand: Do I really have to say this? Some people should be ashamed!

If anyone has seen Heigl act, she genlraley plays a character that isn't good under pressure and she does a great job. She's a fantastic actress so I think she'll do a good job, but I pictured someone with features a little harder than Heigl. Stephanie is about 5'7 and Heigl is only two inches taller. Has anyone seen her in Killers? I think we'll be ok. Sandra Bullock would probably have been perfect!!! I'm a little disappointed at the choice for Morelli, the guy seems to soft to be him. The should have consulted the fans!!! I think the other guy will do a good job as Ranger, but we'll soon see!!

Lets talk swimwear on girls, what do think works well and what should be avoided at all costs?

Bikinis work well definitely. Surfer girls should show off their athletic bodies. Long boardshorts on girls, a definite NO.

Boardshorts on guys, above or below the knee?

Above the knees. So much sexier;)

It would be between a longboard and a short board both. When the surf is small and relaxing, and you just want to feel the peace of the ocean a longboard is perfect. And for the challenging and more intense ride, a shortboard.

Well Gold Fish would be playing, they work best for beach time. And then add to that maybe a night swim, a bonfire, great friends and one crazy vibe.

A dolphin. They seem to enjoy a good surf as well as the surfers. They seem like friendly, laid-back animals and I've never heard of a "dolphin-attack" before. They would be the perfect animal to spend time with.

If you could make one contribution to help protect our marine and beach resources and preserve them for future generations what would it be?

A little help goes a long way. I would want more people to contribute to cleaning our beaches. People don't realise how much the ocean is polluted with plastic and cans. This affects marine life and more than that surfers and people who really appreciate ocean life.

We would also like to convey that most of those that find themselves without the need of health insurance usually are students, self-employed and those that are without a job. More than half in the uninsured are really under the age of Thirty five. They do not sense they are wanting health insurance as they are young in addition to healthy. Their own income is usually spent on homes, food, in addition to entertainment. Many people that do represent the working class either full or in their free time are not made available insurance by their work so they get along without owing to the rising cost of health insurance in the states.
